If you’re familiar with Canva, it’s an excellent tool for resizing images. Canva is intuitive, free to use (with optional premium features), and offers templates specifically designed for social media platforms.

Follow these steps to resize your social media images

1. Visit canva:

• Go to Canva and log in or create a free account.

2. Choose a template:

• Use the Search Bar to find templates for specific platforms (e.g., “Instagram Post” or “LinkedIn Image”).

• Canva automatically applies a correct aspect ratio and resolution for your chosen platform.

3. Upload your image:

• Click the Uploads tab on the left panel and upload the image you want to resize.

4. Adjust the image:

• Drag your image onto the canvas. Canva will scale it to fit the aspect ratio.

• If necessary, adjust the cropping to ensure the important parts of your image remain visible.

5. Resize (optional):

• If you want to reuse the same image for different platforms, click Resize at the top (premium feature) and select the new dimensions for the next platform.

6. Download your image:

• Click Share > Download to save your resized image. Choose PNG or JPG (recommended) format for social media.

By following these steps and using Canva, you’ll ensure your images are formatted and optimized for the platform you’re posting to, delivering a professional and polished appearance every time.
